Established in 2006, the China Red Star Design Award is organized by the Beijing Industrial Design Center (BIDC). It intends to promote Chinese enterprises to protect intellectual property rights, introduce good design into China and internationalize Chinese design. The Red Star Design Award contributes to the industry of industrial design by honoring good design with various promotions such as; the domestic and international exhibition tour, media reporting and the award ceremony itself. The Red Star Design Award is widely promoted throughout China and continues to propel the development of the design industry through accelerated integration of design and manufacturing, whilst fostering domestic and global collaborations through design. It has become the supreme industrial design award in China, and was endorsed by Icsid.

2012 China Red Star Design Award Ceremony was held in Beijing on December 19th, 2012. Totally 5,348 products from 1,279 enterprises with 17 listed in the Fortune 500 and 84 foreign enterprises covering 25 countries. After the intense competition, 154 enterprises including LIGITEK stood out above the rest and won the final awards.

LIGITEK excellent design, Dimmable Rotatable LED tube, was developed to fulfill customer’s demand and to overcome the LED emitting angle limitations due to light-emitting characteristics. The design is unique, functional, and environmentally friendly for its beauty, safety, and high value. With five adjustable angles, 0°，20°，40°，60°，90°, the customers can vary their requirement accordingly to reduce energy consumption by high efficiency lumen output. Not to mention that it’s long-life advantage of LED. It is a great revolution to lighting industry application which can be maintained and installed easily.
